Open Question: University of Arizona to Community College to a Private School? you tell me?

So I have a situation on my hands.. I went to the University of Arizona my first year ( and did ok) although I made a D...i know huge mistake so now im going to a community college to try to transfer into a private school like LMU or USC what are my chances of getting in with all the required courses and GPA but knowing I have that D... will that affect?...
